The Campaign for Disability Employment is a collaborative effort between several disability and business organizations working together to promote positive employment outcomes for people with disabilities. They hope to encourage employers and others to recognize the value and talent that individuals with disabilities bring to the workplace, as well as the dividend to be realized by fully including people with disabilities at work. People with disabilities can and do make important contributions to America’s businesses every day.
The Campaign for Disability Employment’s 2012 “What can YOU do?” Video Contest challenged the general public, youth, and employers to produce disability employment awareness videos that reflect the diversity of skills people with disabilities offer, challenge common misconceptions about disability and employment.
The winners were recently announced in multiple categories:
- Adam Dylewski and the American Chemical Society’s Chemists with Disabilities Committee (Washington, DC),
- Dylan Johanson (Rosendale, NY), and
- Jake Johnson (Clarence, NY)
